TRIBUTE TO A DEAR AUNTIE Auntie Ayanate (as you were fondly called) the news of your death came to us as a rude shock. We had no idea that all was not well with you. We grew to meet you as that Auntie that always came from London whom our fathers loved so much. You took special interest in the progress of the family and as usual we had to respond accordingly. You were such a vibrant and enterprising woman who many admired. Even though you lived far away in the UK, you never failed to enquire about everyone in the family. Not the slightest thought that you would leave us so soon. The pain of your exit deepens when the reality crosses our minds. Ahhh!
